Combat Comment Spam
Comment spam is a fact of life if you have a blog, but using WordPress, you have not only some good built-in tools at your disposal, but also some excellent plugins and methods you can use which are constantly being developed. Please do not think that you can ignore the issue of comment spam – you cannot. There is no ‚one size fits all‘ method that will protect your comments. Spammers use many tactics, so you need multiple defences. Remember too that spammers change the way they attack too, so you must keep whatever you install uptodate. Each plugin will have a link to the author’s site – use it 🙂 This page represents all the methods I am currently aware of, but check the Support Forums for updates (though I will try to keep this page updated). Take the time now to make your blog as spam-proof as you can, and use more than one method of doing so.

waere es nicht besser nur links zu pruefen auf gesperrte beriffe? so ein wort wie onlin*e faellt doch mal schnell. da waere mir etwas auf basis eines bayesean filters lieber. in dem „Combat Comment Spam“ artikel war wirklich ne menge zu finden, nur nicht etwas wie „mt bayesian“. leider scheint das noch nicht ganz rund zu sein, ich glaube aber, so etwas koennte die halbe miete fuer eine gute anti-spam loesung sein. vielleicht in irgendeiner verbindung mit ein paar anderen ideen. wenn ich mehr zeit haette wuerde ich das glatt mal versuchen.
zu meiner Verwunderung wird da in dieser Hinsicht nix angeboten, was eventuell am Mechanismus von Bayes selbst liegen kann, da er nicht einfach zu verstehen ist.
Aus den Tips habe ich drei Ideen genutzt:
– Captcha Bildchen
– Änderung der Standard Dateinamen, die die WordPress Kommentarfunktionen steuern. Die üblichen Namen sind jetzt nur noch leere PHP Hüllen, so kommt auch kein auffälliger Errorcode „not found“ zurück
– Blacklist
Mal sehen wie es wirkt.
