Wikipedia:

Part Two (sometimes subtitled ‚The Dissolving Fortress‘) was produced during 2007. It premiered (in a preliminary version) at a conference in Berlin, Germany in November. A cam version leaked soon after. It was officially released on file sharing networks on December 28, 2007 and, according to the filmmakers, downloaded 150,000 times in the first three days of distribution. Thematically, Part Two examines the technological and cultural aspects of the copyright wars, and the implications of the internet for copying. It includes an exploration of Mark Getty’s infamous statement that „Intellectual Property is the oil of the 21st century‘. It was selected for the Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival and is forthcoming at a number of other film festivals worldwide. As with the first part, Part Two is free to distribute over P2P networks. The producers however ask for donations and more than US$5000 were received by January 5. 2008. Unlike Part One, which only had subtitles in english, Part Two has subtitles in many languages due to great interest in the documentary by volunteer translators. The film has subtitles in Croatian, Danish, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

The League of Noble Peers are delighted, after more than a year, to release Part II of STEAL THIS FILM. In this film, we have tried to go beyond the current discussions around file-sharing to look at what kinds of social change are precipitated by massive changes in our capacity to communicate. We think the changes wrought by networked, peer distribution are historical on the scale of the printing press and here we try to explain why. For many of you these argument will be familiar. These are strange times, in which to many of us the battle already seems to have been won. And yet we have to accept that all the time harsh laws are being enacted, lawsuits levied against innocent people, arrests made – all intended to destroy or delay what is an inevitable change in how we look at creative work. We hope STEAL THIS FILM II can be useful in bringing new people into the legions of those prepared to think creatively about the future of distribution, production and creativity.

wer sich den ersten Teil anschauen möchte: Bitteschön.

da gehts die meiste Zeit nur um Pirate Bay
